How itsmypost.com works

Follow these simple steps. We estimate it will take around 10 minutes for you to complete your online registration.

  1. Gather together all of the junk mail you have recently received. This will make it easier for you to decide which companies you do and don’t want to hear from.
  2. Go to our registration form. Here you will be asked to enter your full name, address, telephone and email details. At this stage you will be given a user name and password.  Keep this safe so you can log-in again.
  3. Fill in your credit card details to pay your annual subscription fee of £4.95.
  4. Once your credit card has been charged, you’ll receive an automated confirmation e-mail. An activation code will follow by post. This is a legal requirement to verify your address.
  5. Once the payment process is complete you will arrive on a completion page.  Click ‘Company Selections’ at the bottom of the text.
  6. Here you can select from amongst a list of 400 companies those you don’t want to hear from. Feel free to choose as many or as few as you wish. If a company isn’t listed, click on ‘Add Unlisted Companies’. You can then nominate the company for inclusion in the list and generate a personalised Section 11 Letter which you’ll need to send by recorded delivery to the company concerned.
  7. Once you’ve completed your selection, click on ‘Save My Selections’ to view a summary report listing those companies you’ve selected. We suggest you print out a copy of this page for future reference.
  8. Then click ‘Log Out’. This returns you to the home page.
Please note : This is as much as you can do until your activation code arrives in the post.
  9. When it arrives, log back in using your user name and password. Then type in the activation code where indicated on your Profile Page to confirm your selections.
  10. Sit back and relax – the amount of junk mail you receive should start to decrease within six to eight weeks. At the end of 12 months, Itsmypost.com will email you with a reminder giving you the option to renew the service for another year.*

*  Itsmypost.com can only stop you receiving mail from companies on whose databases you are currently listed. Your purchase patterns maybe such that your name and address finds its way onto additional companies’ lists, so we recommend re-subscribing to itsmypost.com on annual basis.

If you wish to stop receiving to ALL junk mail, we recommend that you sign up to the Mailing Preference Service. However, please note that, like Itsmypost.com, the Mailing Preference Service can’t stop junk mail from companies from whom you’ve previously made purchases.
