If you have planned to create a video to promote your business, you will need steps to create effective videos. You can ask yourself a few questions before starting:

1. Record decision.
Decide how to record your videos. This is the first step to create effective videos. For example, you can do it via your smartphone with an inexpensive selfie stick, so you can keep your mobile away from you to get a better picture. 2. Equipment (camera, lights)
If you plan to make some high-quality videos, I recommend that you buy a good video camera, which also requires the purchase of a microphone with a 7.5-meter cord and a tripod. In this case, you will also need to have a kit for square lights that vary in price and are called “soft boxes”. They have covers that can be placed over the bulb, which will lighten your eyes and make it easier to maintain the lights, so you can have the effect you want.
There are many excellent tutorials online on how to set up lights and the background – check out the most popular ones on YouTube, so you will know all the ways people “light up,” how far they go from the camera and how much they move (not much in most cases!). Once you understand the best lighting for the space in which you record, on paper, draw the various positions, you may have to replicate what you have learned.
Suppose you don’t use a light kit, record next to a window and put the camera between. Your face will be lit up. Without being neither too bright nor covered by the shadow of the room, use the right light. Users want to look you in the eye to judge your sincerity and the more your audience will be able to read from your gestures, the more you will be able to prove authority and credibility.
3. Where to record
Decide where you want to record: inside? On the outside? In a formal studio, you set up specifically for video? Faced with something symbolic? Think about the background your audience would like to see. Is it something that should be interesting, but at the same time, it shouldn’t be distracting? It would be better to avoid standing in front of a wall or having something reflecting the light behind you, like a painting, because even if you don’t see it, you will notice it on video, especially if you use the lights! However, it is difficult to make an outdoor video, where users could hear dogs barking, planes, cars, sirens, children, and other people talking. These noises would distract you too. Even if being outdoors was part of your brand, it is always advisable to record indoors, in a calm space where you can control the noises.
4. What to wear
Think about the impression you want to give of yourself! The first rule is to never wear stripes or small designs (because they show confusion) or bright red or orange (because they clash with the effect of the lights), or glitter makeup: everything you wear will immediately give a message.
People with light skin tones should wear dark, contrasting clothing, especially close to the face, especially if you have a white or light-colored background. Also, consider adding some bright colors, such as when you see a politician dressed in dark but with a red tie. Instead, those with a darker complexion should wear pastel colors to highlight and focus attention on the face. Remember that colors always show differently for different computers, laptops, smartphones and other displays.
5. How to prepare your content
Are you a speaker who improvises and who manages to speak passionately after taking a look at some notes or a list? Or do you prefer some script or just a hunchback? You can also use graphics that have a sticky back so you can stick them on the wall behind your camera. Or you can rent a hunchback (but it’s expensive) or set up your laptop or iPad as a hunchback; there are many apps and many programs available to do this. Regardless, the important detail is that you don’t move your eyes from left to right to read the lines when you use notes, chart pages, a blank page or a hunchback.
Look in a mirror before you start recording and pretend you’re taking a serious shot for an important meeting. Do you look “good”? Nothing sparkling? A little bit of makeup should cover dark circles, or that pimple you were hoping wouldn’t come out. Are your eyes wide awake? Take deep breaths and practice smiling without shyness.
7. Camera settings
Set up the microphone and turn on the record function, get into position. I usually mark my position on the floor with duct tape, record a few minutes while I speak, review it and check that my background and I are okay. Then I delete the test video to save space on the memory card.
8. Get ready to record
Turn the microphone back on, get into position and take another deep breath, smile and count to five slowly with your mind; look straight into the room or a little above, start talking and if you make a little mess, go back to the last point you remember and start again from there. Remember to smile and count before starting again, and it will be easier to edit.
Make sure you end with a type of call to action, which could be like “Go to our website www. [name] .com to find out more” or “Download your app [ title ] by clicking here or “To find out more, call the number on the screen.”
10. Edit and upload your video
The last steps to create effective videos is to edit and upload your video. Now you can transfer the video to a computer or a USB stick.
