Because the last video I did about marketing inside Facebook Groups was such a hit, and so many of you wrote in and requested more movies like it, I’ve created a new one on Facebook Groups today.
I’ll show you four techniques to promote your YouTube videos inside Facebook Groups in this video. And, if you know me, you’re aware that none of my approaches are spammy, right?
How to Use Facebook Groups to Promote Your YouTube Videos
It’s all about community with Facebook Groups. And in the previous video, I discussed six techniques to sell your products within them. But did you know that you can promote your YouTube video promotion service within Facebook Groups without having to annoy everyone with links?
First and foremost, make sure you’re in the proper Facebook Groups — ones that are relevant to your business and where your target audience is likely to be.
Second, before speaking out, spend some time inside a new group listening to what others have to say. A hit-and-run is never linked (or a link dropper in other words).
Let’s get to the four suggestions now!
-
Provide video responses to questions.
Why not respond to questions using a video you have on the subject rather than text? But don’t just leave your video link in the comments; explain why this video will be useful to the person who asked the inquiry. No one loves clicking on questionable links, so do everything you can to provide information about the video that will be found there. Don’t leave your audience guessing. Also, don’t link to a video that only discusses their issue for 0:02 seconds in a 10-minute film – that’s simply bad form!
-
Video sharing wins
Share any video marketing tips or recommendations you’ve gained. You’ll learn a lot as you make more videos about what works, how to rank them, how to make amazing films, how to edit videos, and so on. Watch the likes and comments roll in as you freely share your knowledge. But, more crucially, you’ll find that others are curious about how you arrived at those conclusions, which will spark an avalanche of interest. This is beneficial since it allows you to delve deeper into the topic, respond to inquiries and enquiries, and attract others who want to hear more of your advice.
-
Make a video of a sneak peek (exclusive)
People appreciate exclusivity. If you’ve created a film about a new trend or a recently introduced product, why not share it first as an exclusive video within a Facebook Group before releasing it to the general public? You can accomplish this by creating the Unlisted video (instead of Public). That way, your most ardent supporters will be the first to see it and remark on it, and it will already have a lot of engagement when you make it public.
-
Highlight a key point from a larger video
This is a fantastic tip that applies to all social media platforms. Assume you have a ten-minute video. Share a 30 second edited interesting excerpt from it in the Group, along with a link to the complete video on YouTube. If allowed inside the Group, this is an excellent way to send people back to your YouTube videos.
Bonus tip: For those who are interested in statistics and want to see how many people are viewing their videos as a result of their Facebook posts, create a trackable link to your videos using bit.ly to see how many people are viewing them as a result of your promotional efforts across Facebook Groups.
