The tenth studio album by American rapper Kanye West, titled Donda, was distributed by Def Jam Recordings and made available on August 29, 2021, on GOOD Music.

It was his last record for the label. West recorded a significant amount of the music throughout the summer of 2021 in a number of locations, including Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountain Ranch and Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Aside from Chris Brown’s vocals, the album also has contributions from the Sunday Service Choir, Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, the Weeknd, Vory, Kid Cudi, DaBaby, Baby Keem, Marilyn Manson, and other vocalists as guests. Most of the time, West, BoogzDaBeast, Dem Jointz, Mike Dean, and Ojivolta were in charge of its production.

It is both minimal and maximalist

with lyrical content that is darker and less percussion-heavy than in West’s early works. The book covers a variety of subjects, including religion, Kanye’s split from Kim Kardashian, and Donda West, whose first name appears in the title.

Kanye West asserted that Universal Music Group had released Donda without his consent; the record label denied his assertion. Hurricane, the album’s lead single, as well as “Believe What I Say” and “Off the Grid” were all released in November 2021.

The album received a range of reviews from music critics, the majority of whom did not agree with its coherence.

While many reviews criticised the film’s protracted running duration, some noted improvement over West’s earlier work and found the composition to be admirable.Nevertheless, Donda was lauded by numerous publications as one of the best albums of 2021.

It was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the 64th Grammy Awards, where “Jail” and “Hurricane” both won for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.Donda, American rapper Kanye West‘s tenth studio album, was distributed by Def Jam Recordings and released on August 29, 2021, through GOOD Music.

received the most first-day streams for an album on Apple Music and Spotify in 2021. West tied Eminem’s previous record by having his eighth consecutive number-one hit on the US Billboard 200. It peaked at number one in 18 other areas, including Australia, France, and the UK. It was West’s first album to reach number one in a second nation.

In addition to the platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States, the album has also gained gold certifications from Music Canada (MC) and Recorded Music NZ (RMNZ), respectively.

The charges of prejudice and sexual assault made by DaBaby and Marilyn Manson individually caused outrage among audience members. Users could remix the tunes and add new ones using The Stem Player, which was released in October 2021. On November 14th, a deluxe edition became available.

On May 25, 2020, American filmmaker Arthur Jafa disclosed that he was working on visual content with West for a single off his upcoming album, titled God’s Country, during a talk with French fashion designer Michèle Lamy in an Instagram Live stream.

In honour of his mother, Donda, after whom he had also named his creative company, West announced on July 21, 2020 that the album’s name had been altered. The album’s track listing and release date were both announced by West. The date was July 24, 2020. In the days that followed, West kept posting track lists before deleting them.

At the end, the album’s scheduled release date was missed. In a string of tweets in September 2020, West expressed his frustration with Universal Music and his desire to repurchase his master recordings from them.

The rapper claimed that his signed contracts were impeding these attempts, and he followed this up by posting additional photographs that purportedly showed the contracts.

Praise God is the best song on this playlist.

Praise God:

American rapper Kanye West includes the song “Praise God” on his tenth studio album, Donda (2021). Two more American rappers, Travis Scott and Baby Keem, provide uncredited vocals for Kanye West’s Praise God song. Her late mother Donda West contributed additional vocals to the CD bearing her name. The song peaked at places 20 and 10, respectively, on the US Billboard Hot 100 and US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.

30 Roc and Zentachi originally created the “Praise God” beat in the beginning of 2020.

Even in its darkest forms, it remains the gospel. How can gospel music still spread its message to individuals who don’t often listen to it? Let’s attempt to make gospel music more cool. We were looking for hip hop, which is what all of the songs there sound like.

The song was added to the track listing a number of times before the West Donda album’s July 18, 2020, release date. On July 22, 2021, West sang the song for the first time during the Donda listening session. Following the hearing session on August 6, the music underwent some changes.

This also involved reorganising the percussion and adding more organs. The initial preview’s hook and opening verses were provided by Travis Scott.

In the second rendition, West’s singing completely took the place of the hook. Scott’s remarks were incomplete, and West filled them in. Regarding his collaboration with West, Keem tweeted the following:”You are a metaphor and a god. I will always be appreciative of the once-in-a-lifetime chance.”

Writing music and lyrics:

West, Scott, and Baby Keem thank Jesus in the hymn “Praise God” for all that He has done for them. “Speech to the Young: Speech to the Progress-Toward” is a poem.

The song’s opening word is Qouted. The “down-keepers,” “sun-slappers,” “self-soilers,” and “harmony-hushers” should hear what you have to say. Even if you aren’t prepared for the day, it won’t always be night, the saying goes.

It serves as a daily reminder for individuals with pessimistic outlooks on life to be grateful for everything they have. West delivers the first line of the chorus. “We’re going to praise God on the way out of the graveyard, dog. I serve, I follow your word, and I see with sight as I emerge from the graveyard and return to life.

His mother finishes the statement by adding “Into the darkness” at the end. West emphasises making a shift in his life and putting his confidence in the choir.

He has a more upbeat attitude on things because he trusts God to do what is right. Each of Scott’s lyrics touches on his relationship with Christ. In the song’s final verse, Keem raps, “Y’all treat your Lord like renter’s insurance, you know what I mean.”

Which is happening to individuals who wait until they need to make a claim before believing in their renter’s insurance.
